Jim Taig was the CEO & Managing Director of Studios 301 (studios & CD mastering), and is currently M.D/owner of Studio FX, Sydney.

Jim's extensive career in music, television, recording studios, & professional audio started in 1980 and covers a diverse range of roles including; musician, record engineer/producer, business development, company director, CEO as well as investment & finance.

Jim has numerous gold and platinum awards for record production in Australia, an 1985 AFI award for "Best Achievement in Sound" & was an associate member of the British Record Producers Guild in London from 1988-1990.

Jim also co-founded the Australian Professional Recording Society (APRS) and spoke on behalf of the recording sector at the National Contemporary Music summit, Parliament House Canberra in 1995.

He is a regular speaker at music industry seminars and was an ardent opponent of Parallel Importing throughout the many public, media and political debates during the late 1990's.

Jim will soon take up a position as Business Development Consultant with Lake Technology in Sydney and is looking forward to helping promote Australian audio "brilliance, originality & excellence" to the world.
