Paul Mac

paulmac is one of the leading figures in Australian electronic music.

He's a conservatorium graduate and an ARIA award winner for his work with underground dance pioneers Itchee & Scratchee. He's scored music for films and TV. He's half of "I Can't Believe Its Not Rock" (with Daniel Johns) and his remixes of acts like Savage Garden, Grinspoon and silverchair have established him as this country's pre-eminent remixer.

For the last two years paulmac has been working on his debut solo album "3000 Feet High" in his Blue Mountains studio. The album's first single sold out its pressing within a week of release. The recently released single, "Just The Thing" (featuring vocals by Peta Morris), has already hit #1 at the trendsetting retail chain, Central Station. It's also #1 on alternative radio, #1 in the clubs and the #1 most played Australian song on mainstream radio according to industry mag, "Music Network". Not bad for a guy who has spent more than a decade outside the musical mainstream!

Paulmac is signed to new indie label, Eleven: a music company. His eagerly anticipated album, "3000 Feet High" is scheduled for release August 6.
