Andrew Hoppe - Managing Director, Soundbuzz Australia

Andrew, 32, has had over 10 years experience in the music industry, both in Australia and Internationally. Andrew was part of the programming team which took Austereo radio station 2DAY-FM to the undisputed #1 position in the Sydney radio market. Relocating to Hong Kong in 1994, he took the position of Program Manager at News Corp's STAR-TV, which then had licensed the MTV channel for Asia. At the conclusion of the license agreement, MTV asked Andrew to join them in creating the MTV Asia network headquartered in Singapore, and Andrew assumed the role of VP of Network Programming and Talent & Artist Relations until 1998. Returning to Australia, Andrew was the General Manager of Programming & Talent at austereo/mcm, the Austereo radio network's syndication and content creation division for radio, television and online. Andrew then moved to Sydney in 1999 to join Sony Music Entertainment (Australia) heading up the International Marketing for Australian artists, and spearheaded the international releases for such successful Australian exports as Tina Arena and Silverchair, both selling in excess of 1.2 million albums internationally.
