Since starting as a television editor with
Channel Ten in Sydney in 1973, Hamish Cameron's
career has covered many facets of the Australian
media landscape.
At various times since those early days, Hamish
has held a number of influential media positions.
He has been a General Manager (2MMM-FM, Harris
Robinson & Associates Advertising Agency, Mulray
Productions)...a Managing Director (3MMM-FM/3EON
FM, Hamrod Productions)...a Creative Director
(Forcefield Marketing)...a Chief Executive Officer
(Radio 2SM)...a Producer (TV programs Nightshift
& Wavelength, Various Music "Specials", Numerous
award winning TV and Cinema commercials)...a
Writer/Director (the INXS documentary "In Search
Of Excellence")...a Pioneer (he teamed with
Doug Mulray to introduce Australiašs first multi-media
broadcasting operation to the Australian Radio
Network)...and even a Lawyer (he graduated with
Honours in the UTS Class of 1999.)
Currently, Hamish is Chief Executive of Chief
Entertainment Pty Limited, a company he and
Doug Mulray formed to joint venture with Telstra
Corporation in the creation of www.thebasement.com.au
, a 24 hours a day/7 days a week broadband internet
webcasting operation. This project includes
live streaming of both audio and vision, and
was established in conjunction with Sydney's
legendary live music venue The Basement.
