Heath Bradby - Owner: Naked Ape Management, MD / A&R: Redline Records Australia, Manager: Jebediah, Rhibosome

Heath Bradby is a young band manager and promoter with 8 years experience in the industry. Starting his music career interviewing the Hard On's for Perth fanzine Flexible Head he got bitten by the bug and a year later had started managing local bands Mountain Hope and Effigy as well as starting an agency for local original bands and booking the Grosvenor Hotel and the Loft Nightclub. In keeping with the hand to mouth nature of the contemporary music industry he was also DJ'ing at local clubs and working as a cook to make ends meet.

Forward 7 years.

Heath has managed Perth band Jebediah from pretty much day 1, combining tour management as well in the earlier days. This has gone from being a glorified booker to co-ordinating tours and releases in several continents. He has tour managed bands such as Ammonia and Something for Kate and his company Naked Ape Management has promoted Perth shows for bands as disparate as Mogwai, Alex Lloyd, Not From There, the Beastie Boys and Fatboy Slim.

Heath is also A&R and MD for new Australian independent label Redline Records, which is a joint project between Jebediah and Naked Ape, and the home to acts such as Big Heavy Stuff, Blueline Medic and Adam Said Galore.

Heath has also been an active member and board member of both the W.A. Music Industry Association and the International Managers Forum (now Music Managers Forum Australia) and at the moment is Vice Chair of the Music Managers Forum (Aust).

Heath still does not consider himself to be part of the music industry, or the music industry to be part of him. Long live the rock.
