ONYA! AWARDS
Aside from our 12 panels of over 50 speakers and six keynote addresses, we also will be producing the Australian Online Music Awards (ONYA! Awards) on the last night of our conference at The Basement venue, 29 Reiby Place in the centre of Sydney. It will be webcast globally at 8:30 pm for 90 minutes, features six top Australian bands in performance and a host of celebrity presenters. For further information on the ONYA! AUSTRALIAN MUSIC WEEK ONLINE
We have created an umbrella event called Australian Music Week Online which will encompass a series of seven nights of webcasts of Australian artists from a Sydney venue, have Australian etailers offering special promotions on Australian music and also provide a traffic router to all manner of Australian music sites, online events and other great aspects. The centre of activity will be TheMusic.com.au which is the ultimate Australian music industry portal with links to thousands of artist and music business sites at http://www.themusic.com.au.

2000 - Music & Entertainment Media Online
This conference which is archived at http://www.immedia.com.au/memo was strictly an event exploring where the Internet and music merge as well as broadband and new media. With over 50 speakers (including a keynote speech by Ice-T) in August 2000, it was attended by over 420 music and media professionals with a top lineup of speakers.

 

1999 - 4th National Entertainment Industry Conference
This conference which is archived at http://www.immedia.com.au/tab explored The Technology, Art & Business of Music covering a variety of topics from straight music business to online strategies. It sold out with 500 attendees and over 50 speakers.

 

1997 - 3rd National Entertainment Industry Conference
This conference which is archived at http://www.immedia.com.au/neic kicked off with a speech by John Perry Barlow which set the tone for where the music industry was heading then. Over 400 attended at the ABC Radio Centre.

 

1995 - 2nd National Entertainment Industry Conference
It's not archived online as the Internet was just an infant then but it covered the beginnings of how this new technology and delivery mechanism would change the industry and, back then, pissed off the majors big time! Times have changed...
