2009 AustralAsian Music Business Speaker Profile

Georgia Hull

Senior Director New Media and Digital Business Development for Roadrunner Records Australia

I have worked for Roadrunner Records Australia for the past 7 years, first in retail marketing and now in New Media.

I have a Commerce degree majoring in Marketing and I am currently finishing up an MBA from Melbourne Business School (Melbourne University).

Over my time in the music industry I have seen it change dramatically with the growth of the internet, and the use of computers and mobile devices as tools from which to consume and promote music. These changes in technology have had a major impact on the music industry, which can be seen as both positive and negative depending on your perspective. My aim is to leverage these technologies to increase music sales and interest in heavy music genres. As well as to add longevity to our artists careers rather than quick fix temporary solutions.
